The Jacques Marie Mage Kaine in Aurora is a distinctive JMM design, originally released in Summer 2021. Beautifully beveled and effortlessly dapper, this rectangular silhouette combines strong proportions with refined details. For the new Photochromic Collection, the Kaine returns with a dynamic new character. Limited to only 200 pieces, this exclusive edition combines sculptural acetate with responsive photochromic technology.

Vision

The Kaine features a sophisticated wide rectangular silhouette with beautifully sculpted bevels. Its 10mm cured cellulose acetate construction creates a confident yet elegant presence. Here, the Aurora colourway comes in a polished clear light green with matching temples. As a result, the frame has a fresh and distinctive appearance.

The Kaine in Aurora is equipped with photochromic light bottle green lenses. These Armorlite 4-base lenses respond naturally to changing light conditions. Outdoors, ultraviolet rays activate the lenses and deepen their tint. Indoors, they gradually return to a lighter shade. Therefore, the Kaine offers a dynamic visual experience that evolves throughout the day.

Moreover, the lenses provide 100% UVA and UVB protection. They also filter blue-violet light. In addition, a backside anti-reflective treatment enhances their performance. The result is a refined balance between advanced lens technology and everyday versatility.

Crafted to perfection

The Kaine combines sculptural acetate with carefully considered metal details. Signature sterling silver arrowhead front pins add a distinctive JMM signature to the front. Furthermore, the exposed Snaketail wirecores feature refined hairline details and come finished in Silver Palladium.

Custom 7-barrel hinges are also finished in Silver Palladium. Matching spur-shaped rivetheads complete the temples. Finally, inner-temple hallmarks in Silver foil add a discreet finishing touch.

Together, these elements create a sophisticated contrast between the translucent acetate and polished metal details. As a result, the Kaine remains bold while retaining the refined character of JMM eyewear.

Limited production batch

Packaging

The Kaine comes in a Bordeaux Empire silk-wrapped monograph box set. It includes a custom leather eyewear case handcrafted in Italy and an oversized microfiber cleaning cloth. A letterpress authenticity card also accompanies the frame, featuring craftsmen’s signatures and a handwritten serial number.
