The Jacques Marie Mage Kaine in Halo is a distinctive JMM design, originally released in Summer 2021. Beautifully beveled and effortlessly dapper, this rectangular silhouette brings a refined character to everyday eyewear. For the Photochromic Collection, the Kaine returns with a dynamic new identity. Limited to only 300 pieces, it combines its signature sculptural construction with responsive photochromic lenses.

Vision

The Kaine features a sophisticated wide rectangular silhouette with beautifully sculpted bevels. Its 10mm cured cellulose acetate construction creates a strong yet elegant presence. Meanwhile, the polished Brut colourway pairs naturally with its photochromic brown gradient lenses.

The lenses respond naturally to changing light conditions. When exposed to ultraviolet rays outdoors, they become darker. Indoors, they return to a lighter tint. Therefore, the Kaine offers a versatile visual experience throughout the day. The lenses also provide 100% UVA and UVB protection while filtering blue-violet light.

In addition, the Armorlite 4-base lenses feature a backside anti-reflective treatment. As a result, the Kaine combines advanced lens technology with JMM’s distinctive approach to colour and design.

Crafted to perfection

The Kaine combines refined details with JMM’s signature construction. Custom arrowhead front pins are finished in Light Gold and reinforce the brand’s unmistakable design language. Furthermore, the exposed Snaketail wirecores feature refined hairline details in Light Gold.

Custom 7-barrel hinges are finished in Silver Palladium for a precise and durable construction. Matching spur-shaped rivet heads complete the temples, while inner-temple hallmarks in Silver foil add another discreet signature detail.

As a result, the Kaine balances bold rectangular proportions with meticulous finishing and everyday versatility.

Limited production batch

Only 300 pieces of the Jacques Marie Mage Kaine in Halo have been produced. This limited edition therefore offers a rare opportunity to discover a distinctive JMM silhouette with innovative photochromic lens technology.

Packaging

The Kaine comes in a Bordeaux Empire silk-wrapped monograph box set. It includes a custom leather eyewear case handcrafted in Italy and an oversized microfiber cleaning cloth. A letterpress authenticity card also accompanies the frame, featuring craftsmen’s signatures and a handwritten serial number.
