Bold ‘60s-inspired aviators from the Kyosho Collection, handcrafted in polished Black acetate with Silver details and Jet lenses. Limited to 250 pieces.
Discover balance and boldness with the Jacques Marie Mage Kurokawa in Black, a tribute to visionary architect Kisho Kurokawa, known for blending tradition with futuristic design. These ‘60s-inspired aviators from the Kyosho Collection merge architecture and philosophy into wearable art. Crafted from plant-based acetate in polished Black, the frames exude depth and confidence. The Shield lenses in Jet reflect a refined modernity, while the sculptural form and Silver metal details capture an enduring sense of harmony. The Kurokawa’s design transcends function — it’s a meditation on form, space, and innovation.
Every element of the Kurokawa in Black speaks of precision and purpose. The distinctive columnar bridge, plated in Silver and adorned with hairline-engraved Art Deco motifs, anchors the frame with architectural poise. Custom stainless steel monoblock hinges, also plated in Silver, provide seamless movement and stability. Each temple features a polished arrow motif framed within handpainted black epoxy inlays, showcasing the mastery of Japanese craftsmanship. The Shield 2-base lenses in Jet, treated with backside anti-reflective coating, ensure exceptional clarity and protection, all while enhancing the frame’s warm allure.
Produced in a limited edition of just 250 pieces, this model stands as a collector’s statement. With a 149mm width and 151mm temples, it offers a confident yet comfortable fit for medium faces.
Each pair arrives in a custom Bordeaux Empire monograph box, complete with a leather Longhorn eyewear case, a double-sided microfiber cloth featuring Kurokawa-inspired artwork, and collection literature printed on archival washi paper. A handwritten serial number certifies its authenticity.
Architectural. Visionary. Transcendent. The Kurokawa in Black redefines eyewear as a living work of design.
