The Jacques Marie Mage Dreamer in Noir celebrates a decade of creative collaboration between JMM, Marin Hopper and Hopper Goods. Inspired by sunglasses owned by Dennis Hopper in the 1950s, this distinctive silhouette revisits an early chapter of the legendary actor and artist’s career. Limited to only 250 pieces, the Dreamer combines vintage character with exceptional craftsmanship.

Vision

The Dreamer features a refined small-sized circular silhouette with a sculptural bridge and subtle soft cat-eye shape. Its 12mm cured cellulose acetate construction creates a bold yet elegant presence. In the Noir colourway, polished black acetate meets custom double-laminated temples, combining black exteriors with tortoise interiors.

Meanwhile, the frame is fitted with Armorlite 2-base cerulean lenses. Their distinctive blue tone adds a contemporary contrast to the deep black acetate. In addition, the lenses feature a backside anti-reflective treatment for enhanced visual comfort.

With a 34% transmission rate, the lenses offer a Category 2 tint. Furthermore, they provide UV protection, making the Dreamer both distinctive and practical for everyday wear.

Crafted to perfection

The Dreamer brings together signature JMM details and subtle references to its Hopper heritage. Sterling silver arrowhead front pins add a refined touch to the front. Furthermore, custom 7-barrel hinges, finished in Silver Palladium, provide a precise and durable construction.

Hidden Hopper wirecores add another discreet signature. These details reflect the collection’s connection to Dennis Hopper and its celebration of his artistic legacy. Meanwhile, spur-shaped rivetheads in Silver Palladium complete the temples.

Finally, inner-temple hallmarks in Gold foil provide an elegant finishing detail. As a result, every element contributes to the Dreamer’s distinctive character.

Limited production batch

Only 250 pieces of the Jacques Marie Mage Dreamer in Noir have been produced. This exclusive edition forms part of A Decade of Hopper, celebrating ten years of creative engagement with the legacy of Dennis Hopper.

Packaging

The Dreamer comes in a custom Gray binder’s cloth monograph box set featuring a debossed archival photograph of Dennis Hopper. It includes a custom eyewear case handcrafted in Italy and an oversized blue and white paisley cleaning cloth inspired by the bandana worn by Hopper in Easy Rider.

A letterpress authenticity card also accompanies the frame. In addition, the set includes an exclusive hardcover booklet edited by Marin Hopper, featuring archival photographs, collection notes and essays.
