The star of the Platinum Collector’s Box is Fatale, launched in Summer 2022 and inspired by Nico’s unforgettable look at the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival. These 100% beta titanium frames in polished silver with gold epoxy temple tips embody the rebellious yet refined spirit of the Velvet Underground, paying tribute to one of music’s most iconic muses. All four limited-edition styles produced for The Velvet Underground by JMM collection are housed in a custom silver monograph box, each accompanied by its original custom cleaning cloth. The box set also includes a reissue of the 1969: Velvet Underground Live With Lou Reed double LP, marking its first reissue since 1974. Along with the eyewear, the set includes four soft satin pouches and five letterpress authenticity cards—one for the box set and one for each eyewear style included.
