Handcrafted in Japan, the Donnybrooke in Obscure is sculpted from 10mm cured cellulose acetate in a deep black finish. The temples feature a distinctive triple-laminated construction with clear exteriors, black centers, and navy interiors. This layered design introduces subtle depth and visual rhythm.
Along the temples, exposed Classic wirecores plated in silver palladium reveal delicate hairline engravings that celebrate Jacques Marie Mage’s attention to detail. Custom arrowhead 7-barrel hinges, also plated in silver palladium, ensure durability and smooth articulation while reinforcing the brand’s iconic identity.
Inside the temples, gold foil hallmarks confirm authenticity and emphasize the collectible nature of the frame.
The Donnybrooke in Obscure is produced in a limited batch of only 300 pieces worldwide. This scarcity enhances desirability and ensures each frame remains part of a highly exclusive collection.
The frame is fitted with Armorlite 2-base lenses in Serene Blue. A backside anti-reflective treatment improves clarity while reducing glare. With a 65% transmission rate and Category 1 sun protection, the lenses provide comfortable everyday wear.
Each pair arrives in Jacques Marie Mage’s signature packaging. Included are an Italian-handcrafted leather case, microfiber cleaning cloth, silk fabric-covered hard shell box, and a letterpress certificate featuring the limited-edition serial number and craftsman’s signature.
