The Jacques Marie Mage Aldo in Bloodstone is a sculptural interpretation of the bold eyewear styles of the 1970s. With its oversized proportions, deep lenses and distinctive beveled brow, the Aldo makes a confident statement. Limited to only 400 pieces, this exclusive JMM design combines retro inspiration with exceptional craftsmanship.

Vision

The Aldo features a sophisticated medium-sized silhouette with an oversized attitude. Its deep lenses and sculpted brow create a strong, expressive presence. Meanwhile, the 10mm cured cellulose acetate construction gives the frame a substantial yet refined character.

In the Bloodstone colourway, the frame combines rich black acetate with custom triple-laminated temples. Clear outer layers meet black centers and deep burgundy interiors. As a result, the temples reveal subtle layers of colour and depth from every angle.

The Aldo is fitted with Armorlite 4-base Jet lenses. Their deep 9% transmission rate creates a strong Category 3 tint. Furthermore, the lenses feature a backside anti-reflective treatment for improved visual comfort. They also provide 100% UV protection.

Crafted to perfection

The Aldo combines sculptural acetate with carefully considered JMM details. Exposed Barber wirecores, finished in Silver Palladium, add a distinctive technical element to the temples. Furthermore, custom 9-barrel hinges feature refined hairline details and matching Silver Palladium finishing.

Meanwhile, spur-shaped rivets finished in Silver complete the temples. Finally, inner-temple hallmarks foil-stamped in Silver add a discreet signature detail.

As a result, the Aldo balances strong 1970s-inspired proportions with sophisticated construction. Every detail reinforces its bold and luxurious character.

Limited production batch

Packaging

The Aldo comes with an Italian-handcrafted leather eyewear case and a microfiber cleaning cloth that can also be used as a pocket square. The frame is presented in hard-shelled, silk fabric-covered packaging.

A letterpress authenticity certificate also accompanies the eyewear. It features the limited-edition serial number and the craftsman’s signature.
